Am I Going To Heaven?

AM I GOING TO HEAVEN?

You Can Be Sure!

Some people think that going to Heaven consists of:

  • Keep the Ten Commandments
  • Doing Good Works…
  • Turn from Sin…
  • Living a Good Life…
  • Church Membership
  • Tithing or Giving Money to a Church
  • Water Baptism

All of these make sense, but these actions activities, and good works are not requirements for eternal life.

The Bible says, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:5).

There is nothing more wonderful in life than discovering God’s plan for eternal life. Discover the truth for yourself, and you can know for certain that you will spend eternity with God.

Principle #1 is realizing

ETERNAL LIFE IS A FREE GIFT.

The Bible says, “. . . The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

There is not one thing you can do to earn a place in Heaven. It is free!

According to the Bible, God offers you:

Love – Joy – Peace – Happiness

But unfortunately,

Principle #2 is acknowledging the

PROBLEM OF SIN.

The Bible says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

We all fall short of God’s perfect standard.

“For the wages of sin is death . . .” (Romans 6:23).

We deserve death and Hell.

Fortunately,

Principle #3 is recognizing that

JESUS CHRIST IS GOD’S SOLUTION FOR SIN.

The Bible says, “. . . Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that HE rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seem by (many)…” (1 Corinthians 15:3,4).

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“For He (God) made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

“But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness”(Romans 4:5).

Jesus Christ, the God-Man has removed the barrier of sin. His death paid the penalty for our sins and His resurrection made eternal life possible.

New Paragraph

Principle #4 is your response to God.

TRUST IN CHRIST ALONE.

The Bible says, “. . . Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved . . .” (Acts 16:31).

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever

believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may KNOW that you have eternal life . . .” (1 John 5:13).

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life” (John 6:47).

Principle #5 is God’s promise to you.

SALVATION IS ETERNAL.

The Bible says, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand… and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand” (John 10:28).

Will you accept God’s way and receive God’s gift of eternal life?

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

Doesn’t it make sense to believe on the One who came back from the dead and trust Him for the payment of your sins?

You may want to use this prayer to express your decision to trust in Christ. It is not a prayer that saves you. It is trusting in Christ alone for eternal life.

“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe Christ died for me and rose from the grave. Today, I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Please let us know if you trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. We would like to help you grow as a new believer in Jesus Christ.
